I regard all three as relevent to the breaking financial news. You cannot separate Politics, Philosophy and Economics, ie PPE, to which should be added Psychology. Without the psychology of the individual all three of the classic studies becomes well, so much nonsense.

The study of politics is corrupted by politicians, the study of philosophy is corrupted by the politicians who misapply the search for wisdom into the search for happiness and wealth, and the study of economics is corrupted by the politicians not having a clue.

It gets even more bizarre from the dreaded Mr Griffin, the world ends with the vision of an evolved Aspidistra, sitting in a dark corner on its own, picking its nose, looking at the scorched earth.
