British jobs for British people
surely you could start a blog in respect of Peter Mandelson on the Today programme this morning, Radio 4.
I mean fancy the great leaders Gordon Brown, just to make sure that the great leader is not Lord Mandleson, views on British jobs for British workers requires our input. We are of course not very dignified when we point out that it may well be that what Gordon said in 2007 is now being misrepresented and taken completely out of context. For example, who are we the electorate to ignore the comments by an unelected Lord, because of course I could go and work in Europe, leaving wife family and children behind. But it sometimes is not a question of could, it is more to do with should.
Should the government say that we must learn all the European languages so that we can get a job in Germany, Italy or France. Many workers from overseas have Englsih as a second language, when we consider that there are a substantial number of the English who even cannot read and write in English so how on earth are they meant to work in Poland!
