Kellogg-Briand pact

Ah yes the old red herring about our guarantee of Belgian neutrality.

I wonder then if you would like to refer to the 'Treaty providing for the renunciation of war as an instrument of national policy' which is known as the Kellogg-Briand Pact which was signed in Paris on August 27, 1928.

Now we know that an awful lot of stuff has happened since we signed up to the Pact but then an awful lot had happened between the time that we guaranteed Belgian neutrality.
