Nicky Campbell
at the end of your propaganda programme from Sandhurst you made reference to freedom of speech. I have to say that as well as Kendall-Smith being prosecuted for refusing orders, there is the situation where a soldier who used to go to Stop the War meetings now has an injunction against him, by the Ministry of Defence, preventing him from speaking in public. I would therefore say that yes there is freedom of speech for as long as you say what 'they' want you to say.
I think you and others should read one of the large circulation daily papers where others have now said that our response is disproportionate and uses military fire power, like long range sniper rifles, where there is no trial, the soldier, or his informants are both judge and jury in a conflict with no end.
