Titles

Thank goodness Hilary Clinton will not be President.

1. There is already President Clinton, who continues to be called Mr. President.

2. Hilary Clinton was the First Lady.

3. We would have had Mr and Mrs Presidents Clinton.

4. Now with Hilary as President it would have to be Mrs President Clinton and Mr President Clinton.

5. Or would it be Mrs President and the First Gentleman.

You can see the problem, thank goodness she did not progress. It would have upset all the conventions.

6. Mind you do we in this country still not have a problem with gender, Chairman, Chairwoman, Chairperson, Chair, Priest (surely women priests in the C of E should be called Priestess or is that too heathen). Oh the problems of being old and the conventions of identifying females in a title.

7. Everybody should just be addressed as Guys, as in Hi Guys how are you today.
