Bingham
It is not only Bingham who remained silent. Do you seriously think that he kept all his thoughts to himself. We have proof with yachtgate that the elite sit around idely chatting all day.
Do you seriously think that Bingham kept his thoughts to himself. Of course the war was illegal, and accordingly everything that our soldiers did was illegal. This was a war of aggression and apparently Bush contacted Blair before the war saying you don't have to do this, you can keep out, but Blair went ahead, and where is the war trials for an illegal war of aggression. There can be no justification for regime change.
I want to know what now. I have personal experience of judges granting injunctions stopping freedom of speech under the spurious grounds of breech of contract!
I want a statement from our Prime Minister stating categorically that he disagrees with Lord Bingham and justifying his position. Our soldiers have been killed serving their Queen and Country based on legal advice which would appear to be flawed. Worse they have the blood of many innocent women and children on their hands, even if it was our Allies who did the killing. As for Guantanamo Bay, in Cuba, then we are also guilty if anybody we detained has ended up in that hell hole. We cannot plead that we did not know what was going on, and nor that we were just following orders, not a valid defence under the Nurembourg principles.
