I am glad that there are some observant people out there, you are of course correct. Whitehall, 1212, could not make it up.
All we need now is Dixon of Dock Green! Now would his questions have been a bit more pirecing than those of Andrew Marr?
What surprises me is that Jacqui Smith must have known she was sailing pretty close to the wind otherwise why should she have been so scrupulous in checking her position.
Bit like General Sir Mike Jackson admitting in his book that he took independent legal advice before the war aginst Iraq. Now, should senior soldiers really be doing that should they not follow orders, without question!
