bankers Bonuses

so now we learn that tax receipts in January are well down. Oh what a surprise. I have said before that the government relied on the bankers paying taxes on their bonus payments. Gordon Brown must have known the size of these bonuses years ago, yet he did nothing about them because he was willing to take the taxes to fund his extravagent spending (sorry investing). He knew exactly what the bankers were receiving as bonus payments.

Now we learn that various governmnet departments and quangoes also make bonus payments, surely these should be banned as well.
