Sponsorship

I just cannot understand some things any more.

I thought that Northern Rock was nationalised! So why does Newcastle United continue to be sponsored by the taxpayer. Is this fair, are there not other clubs which could be subsidized by the taxpayer. I for example support Plymouth Argyle, where is the state subsidy to my club.

The same with rugby union, my team, Plymouth Albion have had to reduce the wages of their players because of 'the economic slowdown'. Yet the six naions championship seems to be sponsored by RBS, again one of the so called nationalised banks.

I seriously think that Brown is bonkers, why won't he instruct the sponsors to cease payments, as the the companies concerned should no longer be making payments, so as to be fair to the rest of the country.

The shareholders seem to have lost everything, surely it should be the same for those institutions and clubs who receive largess from the taxpayer.
