The truth will get out

I find it most interesting as to who exactly has been reading my letters to the Echo. Donald Rumsfeld is quoted in the International herald Tribune June 7 'Ultimately the truth gets out, notwithstanding people's efforts to the contrary.Take for example the question of extraordinary rendition. This is where the american constitution prohibits torture. so what do they do. they get other countries to do the torturing on their behalf. furthermore, they are alledged to have flown some of those who were tortured into through this country. Therefore, we are just as guilty. However, that is not my main point.It is that 'our boys' have actually been involved in capturing people who have been transported to other countries to be tortured. We have been kidnapping Iraqis, handing them over to the Iraqi ministry of the interior who have then tortured these people themselves or handed them to the Americans. That is why my son was allowed to leave the army. It is because he knew and would not continue in these illegal activities. What do you people actually think we have been up to over there.Kendall-Smith is in jail because he disobeyed orders. Ben Griffin was released from the army and was to appear as a defence witness. the courts martial would not allow ben to appear as a defence witness. Why not? Because he would have told them things in camera which would have brought everything out into the open. We are all as guilty because wilfull ignorance is no defence.
