Justice

Tell you what I want to hear from Obama.

That on being elected, proceedings will start against President Bush for taking America into an illegal war.

That the full details of the converstaions which took place a year before the war with PM Blair will be released.

That immediately Guantanamo Bay will be closed and all the 'prisoners' will be either released, tried in American Courts or returned to where they came from.

That an immediate inquiry will be started, jointly with the UK to investigate extra-ordinary rendition.

That all figures relating to the number of Iraqis detained or arrested will be released, including the numbers handed over to the Iraqi authorities, and what has subsequently happened to them.

That all financial details will be released as to the amounts of money handed over to militia groups, how much and to whom.

I quote from Peter Kropotkin, Words of a Rebel :-

'Do not let anyone tell you that we are only a tiny handful, too weak ever to attain the grand objective at which we aim.. All we who suffer and who are outraged, we are an immense crowd; we are an ocean in which all could be submerged. As soon as we have the will, a moment would be enough for justice to be done'.

Let America have justice, let Britain have justice, let the world have some justice for the crimes committed in our names.

Bush and Blair have brought shame on their respective countries, they must not be allowed to escape; justice for the dead, the maimed, the destitute, some of us will never forgive, if you promise us nothing else Obama, promise us justice.

Euthanasia

My father was slowly dying whilst in hospital in 1991 and he was losing control of his body functions. He was dying! However, the hospital discharged him because they did not know how long it would take him to die. We went to the hospital to collect him on his day of discharge to realise that they had sent him home, by ambulance, early so we returned home. What did we find, the ambulance parked outside the house with my father dead inside. He had suffered a massive heart attack. Am I still angry? yes, am I crying as I write this? Yes.

My mother was in hospital and she was not dying but was not well. What happened, she slowly starved to death, over many agonising days. She could have survived but with constant care at home which was not available. Do I feel that I should have done more to 'save' her? Yes.

Will I let this happen to me, no! I will choose my time and place of dying. Call it suicide if you like but there is no way I will let 'them' treat me like my parents.

I already suffer from a deep feeling of what exactly is the point, what are we on this earth for, what have I achieved, who have I saved or helped. Nobody. So, I think that there are serious issues which I do not have the capacity to resolve. As I do not believe in God, or an afterlife, then this is just a terrible joke. How could we be so cruel.

Liberty & Justice and Georgia

OK fellow students, just think on this. I have just heard George Bush promising to send humanitarian aid to Georgia, through the ports and via transport planes. He is also sending Condoleeca Rice to France and Tibilisi. If just one hair of an American is harmed then expect big trouble. Is this going to be the repeat of the dreaded Archduke Ferdinand, because we know what happened next. America must not be humiliated, Russia must not be humiliated, this is deadly. I was young during the Cuba crisis and it has had a lasting effect on me.

So, fellow students, what exactly would you do. The dogs of war are on the loose. The four horsemen are in the stables and they will soon be riding the sky. This is the battle for liberty and justice many have thought was imminent, and it is about to be fought, only there can be no winners. Am I frightened and filled with terrible foreboding? You bet I am.

The Americans have an appallingly weak president, going through the death throes of his presidency. This is dangerous. Don't think that Iran has disappeared off the radar screen either.

What happens to the injured

I look forward to hearing how the police are going to investigate the murder of Jill Dando. Is this not another situation similar to the Birmingham six where people are incarcerated because somebody must be guilty.

What I would say is that it I am concerned about people who are shot either by the police or the military because they are a threat. Are we getting executions by default on the basis that either a trial is too expensive or that people need to be taught a lesson!

No doubt this one will be moderated out because some of us are getting very close to the truth. I ask where exactly are the prisoners in Iraq and Afghanistan, where are the bodies of the dead or do we just leave them to the vultures. Does nobody get injured as a result of the millions of shots we are firing, or what happens when we drop the bombs.

Off on holiday

I hope that others have noted that the papers are reporting Prince William temporarily joing the SAS. Now I thought that being a member of the Special Forces was not mentioned by the wonderful MoD.

An MoD spokesman is quoted in the Daily Mail that this is 'boys own stuff', may I humbly totally disagree with the idiot, who ought to be named!

Now my son has had an injunction taken out against by the MoD preventing him from speaking in public, what a wonderful country. Will William go through a process of being 'tortured' so that he will be able to resist interrogation if he is captured.

As for the three soldiers acquitted of 'beasting' will the senior officer be charged with an offence, rather than be promoted. What is going on! I think that the MoD is running this country rather than the elected politicians.

We are told that because of a public inquiry into the death of an Iraqi no comments will be made until the inquiry is completed. I hope other readers note that the inquiry into 'bloody Sunday' has still not been reported on after how many years? Nine, ten, eleven!

I will not forget the death of Dr David Kelly, the death of the Brazilian de Menezes, the finding of the army officer Mendonca innocent, the deaths of our soldiers by 'friendly fire' the deaths of soldiers because of lack of equipment, the death of Mr Lloyd, the reporter, the deaths literaly tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis', both by our hands and the the none prevention of the militias taking action against either religious groups or collaborators. The list is endless, and all this done in our name.

I hope that Prince William enjoys himself in Special Forces, with the concept of boys own stuff, and hope that he has to sign a contract prohibiting him from mentioning anything about his time 'in the service'. Ah, what a wonderful army.

Enjoy your holiday Nick, wonder what will happen whilst you are aware, don't you access to a computer?
