Chasing the Sun

I was wondering just when will the authorities announce the temporary closure of the Stock Exchange so as to enable the market to stabilise after the announcement of the bail out of the banks. The dealing in bank shares must not be allowed to happen, it will be mayhem! There must be an announcement tonight because if they leave it too late then there will be panic, because it will appear to be a panic decision rather than a rational, informed decision taken so as to prevent any market abuse.

If they don't then we can expect the brokers to leave their phones off the hook, just like they did in 1987, some of us were there. Where is the hurricane this time.

Remember, New York is closed tomorrow so they have the perfect excuse. The Chancellor must be given the credit for transforming the situation because that is his job, not Gordon Brown's. So credit where credit is due, I do not want to see the great nose picker telling us how a disaster has been averted by his actions.
